Sandy the Ferocious Beast

One day in the land called Dogsville the most precious little puppy was born. When Sandy was first born she was the tiniest pup in the litter. Three brothers and two sisters joined her. Sandy was just like any other puppy, she like to play fetch, chew on cones, and occasionally bite. Sandy loved her brothers and sisters and they loved her too! Sandy’s mom and dad were very happy to have such adorable puppies.

When Sandy was one year old she began to look a little different than her brothers and sisters. She was growing way too fast. Her parents would treat her the exact same way as if nothing was wrong, where in fact she was twenty times the size of the rest of her family. She was so big that she could not fit into her doghouse. She had to wear a fifteen-foot towrope for her collar, and for her water dish she used a stock tank.

When Sandy would go play with her friends they would act different and she could never understand why. One day she was being teased so much she went and looked in the mirror and saw her. She could not believe that was what she looked like. She began to cry, then her friend Bob came over and tried to console her. No matter what anyone did Sandy would never ever be happy again.

It was that day that she decided she would set out on an adventure to find a place where she would fit in. Sandy was hoping to find a nice little village that had dogs the same size that she had become.

Sandy did not tell her parents, siblings, or friends that she was going to leave them and never come back. She started heading west and she was going to go that way until she would find a town or something that she could stay in. The first night was perfect, Sandy was just taking her time and staying as calm as she could. The next morning was even better, Sandy found food. She was guessing it came from a pack of wolves. So she finished the scraps that were left and began on her journey again. Sandy started to notice that it was getting dark and cloudy out. She hoped that it was not going to storm, but it started to sprinkle and she knew she had to find some shelter. She began running, she got over a hill and noticed there was a town. While it was raining she was still trying to find shelter. She noticed on the outside of town that there was a machine shed, which she decided would be a great kennel. So she fell asleep and woke up the next morning and kept on her journey.

Sandy had been walking for days now and began to feel very tired and lonely. Sandy then lay under a tree to rest. All of a sudden she heard this loud noise, so she went over the hill to see if she could find the commotion. She thought that she had been dreaming when she saw a village full of dogs her size. So she went into the village and started talking to this nice little puppy named Maggie. Sandy began to tell Maggie why she was a stray. Maggie then told Sandy that everyone in the village was there for the same exact reason; they were too big to fit in with their friends and families.

Sandy was welcomed just like she was one of the families. Sandy loved it where she was at and never wanted to leave. She had finally found the place that she would fit in perfectly. She made many new friends and had a great new life!
